On 25 March 1967, Pope Paul VI published his encyclical, Populorum Progressio, also known as On the Development of Peoples.
Originally drafted by French Dominican development specialist, Louis-Joseph Lebret, the encyclical made a great impact when first published (photo above with Lebret on the left and Paul VI on the right).
